Home Health Aide
Program Objective
Upon completion of the Home Health Aide program graduates will be able to seek entry level employment as a Home Health Aide with clinics, assisted living facilities, Home Health Agencies, and other healthcare practice facilities.
Program Description
The seventy-five (75) clock hour program meets state requirements for hours and training objectives for a Home Health Aide. The program is designed to prepare students in the fundamental requirements of care including ambulation, vital signs, transporting patients, charting, general and personal care. Students will take weekly quizzes throughout the program and are required to pass a final exam in order to obtain their diploma.
This program is offered in two modalities for the convenience of students: onsite and hybrid.
Onsite Modality
Students receive all instruction at the school’s campus.
HYBRID Modality
Students enrolling in the hybrid modality will complete online work weekly and attend classes on-campus three days a week. Online weekly work consists of assigned theory instruction and activities for the week to be completed through the learning platform. On-campus weekly activities include theory review and laboratory hands—on practice depending on the courses taught each week. Diverse Training Center online learning is provided on an asynchronous modality, which means students have the flexibility to complete the online assignments in a self-paced manner as long as they are submitted by the weekly submission deadline. With this modality, students complete their work and connect with instructors and peers on their own schedule. Asynchronous learning gives an opportunity to working students to study without while attending to their employment responsibilities.
Credential Awarded
Upon successful completion of the program students receive a diploma.
